A year can change, well everything. We don't need to tell HR folks about these "unprecedented changes" or "the new normal" because HR has been bearing the brunt of organizational policy changes, the Great Resignation, and dips in employee morale. We recently checked in with Bonusly users on the impact of meaningful peer-to-peer recognition on their organizations' cultures.

What did we find in a nutshell? A program like Bonusly can help solve for issues like employee morale, retention, and engagement. 📈

Let's look at the cold hard stats. 🧊💯

Bonusly + our users = an employee engagement dream team

An essential key performance indicator for HR teams is employee engagement, so we'll start there. 93% of respondents said that Bonusly improved employee engagement. Relatedly, we found that 83% of respondents said that Bonusly improved employee motivation.

It's a hybrid world, we're just working in it

Hybrid work is here to stay, so the need for increased visibility and collaboration across teams is top of mind for many HR folks. We asked Bonusly users about collaboration between teams and turns out Bonusly improved cross-team collaboration for 75% of respondents and 79% said that Bonusly improved transparency across teams.

Speaking of collaboration and visibility, our friends at Toast rolled out Bonusly to their employees (AKA Toasters) in 2020 to help new hires feel welcome remotely and increase cross-departmental collaboration. Let's just say it was love at first recognition. Take it from Toast's Program Manager of Recognition and New Hire Success, Kate Ciechomski:

"Bonusly helped us increase cross-departmental recognition, which has had a major impact on collaboration through the company."

Let's talk about employee morale

Let's talk about employee morale. We know firsthand the boost of energy and excitement we feel when a new recognition rolls in. After all, you might not be surprised to hear that the Bonusly team loves using Bonusly the product. Turns out, 88% of users we surveyed said that Bonusly improved employee morale.

Employee morale was a priority for Solugenix when the company went through a merger in 2020. They knew they needed a consistent, visible, and equitable employee recognition program during a time of transition. Enter, Bonusly. 🦸‍♀️ Here's what Nicole Pigeon, Operations & Account Manager and Customer Support Services at Solugenix had to say:

"We saw high rates of adoption and positive feedback about Bonusly from the start," Nicole says. "People are impressed that our engagement is so high, but I’m not surprised. Our company is all about supporting and recognizing one another, regardless of where someone works. That does wonders for morale."

The year of the "Greats"

2021 has been the year of the "Greats." The "Great Resignation" the "Great Reshuffle" and one "Great" we're very fond of: "The Great Recognition." What impact would a peer-to-peer recognition program have on your organization? Well, 48% of respondents said that Bonusly improved employee retention. The first step to tackling employee turnover is acknowledging it's an issue. We don't shy away from talking about employee turnover, in fact we wrote this guide about it.

Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to understand how Bonusly affects the reason employees are excited to come to work each day: meaningful company values. It can be difficult for employees to connect with the rally cry of company values remotely, but Bonusly can help. 86% of respondents said that Bonusly improved employees connecting with core values. We truly believe that the ability to connect with a sense of purpose at work leads to happier employees. Plus, 89% of respondents said that Bonusly improved employee satisfaction.
